A family-owned company, founded and incorporated in 1963 by Norman Nardick, a World War II veteran and purple Heart recipient. The Capital used to start the company consisted of a $5,000 loan. Bazaar's first employee was Rivian Nardick, Norm's wife, who preformed the bookkeeping duties. Bazaar's first warehouse and office was located on Montrose Avenue in Chicago, Illinois and was a modest 1500 square feet in size. Bazaar started out by buying only housewares and toys, through overstocks, closeouts and bankruptcies. These wholesale goods were sold to flea markets, auctions and small retailers in the Chicagoland area. Over the years, the company began to prosper and expand. In 1967, Bazaar moved to a larger facility, and again moved its warehouse in 1973, Norman Nardick passed away and his son, Robert, took over as President of the company.

Since Rob took over the business, Bazaar continued to expand, moving its operation three more times, while becoming a major force in the wholesale close-out industry. Now, in addition to housewares and toys, Bazaar buys from major manufacturers in industries such as food, soaps, health and beauty, sporting goods, school supplies, soft and seasonal goods, and books.

Bazaar expanded its customer base outside of Chicago and now sells to discount retailers throughout the United States. Bazaar is presently located at 1900N. Fifth Avenue, River Grove, Illinois. The current facility is approximately 400,000 square feet and consists of an expansive warehouse and corporate officers. Bazaar employs approximately 50 warehouse and office employees. Bazaar recognizes that from its humble beginning to buying, selling and shipping millions of pieces of merchandise currently per year, its success could not have been accomplished without the quality and outstanding people that have worked for Bazaar throughout the years. Rob and the entire Nardick family appreciate and thank each and everyone employed at Bazaar for their devotion, hard work, and sincerity, and hope that all new and future employees exhibit those same qualities.

Bazaar endeavors to continue its aggressive expansion and growth plan that will lead Bazaar in becoming the premier Buyer and Distributor of Wholesale Merchandise Close-outs. This will be achieved by maintaining Bazaar's commitment to the superior customer service, a fresh, warm and inviting working environment and by expanding and enhancing its merchandise selection and customer base.
